  • Probation: 3 months, 1 week notice during probation
  • Notice (post-probation):
    • Standard staff: 1 month
    • Senior staff (Head Baker, Senior Bakers, Asst Ops Mgrs, Shop Mgr, Head Driver): 2 months

    • Statutory minimum applies as a floor after 2+ years' service

Workflow

  1. Zoe reviews all 7 docs (this is v0 / draft)
  2. Apply Zoe's amendments → move accepted version into v1/ subfolder for version control
  3. Sequencing of rollout (recommended):
    • Wave 1: Director + senior staff (John, Kevin, Tim B, Elspeth, Sean, Heather, Reuben, Caroline, James — 9 total) — proves out the pack with the most complex cases
    • Wave 2: Standard permanent staff (FT + PT bakers, drivers, shop, admin)
    • Wave 3: Casual / zero-hours staff
    • Wave 4: Consultant (David — only after IR35 CEST is complete)
    • (Note: "Wave" = rollout sequencing. Not to be confused with notice "tier" in the templates or material-change "track" in transition-workflow.md.)
  4. Signing method:
    • Existing staff: wet sign on a printed copy, kept on file. The act of physically signing reinforces consent for any variation of existing terms.
    • New joiners: e-sign (DocuSign or BrightHR's built-in acceptance flow) for speed.
  5. Generator script: CSV → populated draft per employee with correct template + addendums
  6. Issue to staff with the relevant cover letter variant. See transition-workflow.md for handling existing staff.
  7. Collect signed copies and store on the HR system.

Deferred / parking lot

  • Bravo's own contract. Excluded from this pass at user's request. To be drafted once Bravo's BrightHR record is populated (DOB, address, job title, contract type, pay rate).
  • Generator script. Not yet built — once Zoe returns v1, build scripts/generate-contracts.py to populate templates from Employee Contract Info - Wild.csv per derivation-rules.md.
  • Cultybraggan postcode still [POSTCODE TBC] throughout the pack. Resolved 2026-05-17 — PH6 2AB.
