Retention audit

Fair Work Agency 6-year rule · cutoff date 22 Jun 2020 · today minus 6 years

Policy: 6-year minimum retention

Worker records (Employee, EmployeeDocument, payroll lines, clock events, HR activity) must be retained ≥6 years after departure to satisfy the Fair Work Agency audit window. This page lists records older than6 years that are now eligible to be archived or hard-deleted. The retention cron itself isn't built yet — purging is manual until then.

No terminated employees passed the 6-year retention window.

A weekly audit cron (/api/cron/retention-audit, Mon 02:00 UTC) writes these same counts to HrActivityLog so drift surfaces in the HR feed. The cron is read-only— it never deletes or anonymises. When you're ready to purge, that becomes a separate manually-triggered action so HR retains explicit control over destructive operations on personal data.
